Crawlert was not born in a boardroom. It was built out of a very specific frustration: watching pages quietly fall out of the Google index — and finding out weeks later, when the traffic was already gone.

Why Crawlert exists

We run a portfolio of dozens content sites. At that scale, indexation stops being an abstract SEO metric and becomes a daily operational problem: a site migration silently de-indexes a section, a plugin update adds a stray noindex, Google simply decides a batch of articles is no longer worth keeping. Search Console shows all of this — but only if you remember to open it, for every property, every day.

We didn’t. Nobody does. So we built a tool that watches the index for us and speaks up only when something actually changes. Crawlert is that tool, opened up for everyone who publishes on the web.

What it does

Crawlert checks the Google index status of every URL you care about, on a schedule, through the official Google Search Console API — the same data you see in Search Console, not scraped guesses. When a page drops out of the index (or comes back), you get one calm digest per site by email, Telegram or Slack: what changed, why Google says it happened, and what to do about it.

How we work

Official data only. No scraping, no proxies, no “site:” tricks pretending to be analytics. If Google’s API says a page is out, it’s out.

Signal over noise. One digest per site with everything that changed — never an alert per URL. A bad day for your site should not also be a bad day for your inbox.

Respect for your data. Read-only access that you grant yourself and can revoke in one click. Integration keys stored encrypted. No reselling of anything to anyone.

A free plan that stays free. One site and a hundred URLs, forever. Most personal projects never need more — and that’s fine with us.

Who is behind it

Crawlert is built and operated by an independent publisher and developer from Ukraine — the same person who depends on it every morning. It is a small, self-funded product, which means no growth-at-all-costs features, no dark patterns, and support answered by someone who actually knows the codebase.
